Paper Bomb Causes Damage to Church in Lusia

A paper bomb struck the Church of Saints Vito and Modesto (Lusia), in an act of vandalism similar to a previous incident near the Church of San Biagio in Lendinara.

A powerful blast shook the center of Lusia shortly after 4 a.m. on Sunday, March 1, when a paper bomb was detonated inside the Church of Saints Vito and Modesto, in an act of vandalism similar to a previous incident near the Church of San Biagio in Lendinara at the end of October. Volunteers who entered the church around 8 a.m. discovered that four windows dedicated to Our Lady of Czestochowa had been broken.

Authorities are investigating to gather evidence that could identify those responsible for this latest act, which could have seriously injured passersby.
