Viterbo Church defaced with satanic graffiti with inverted crosses.
Satanic graffiti, including inverted crosses and “666,” was sprayed on the facade of a Catholic church in Viterbo. The messages explicitly referenced Satan and targeted the Christian place of worship. Police identified the perpetrator through surveillance footage, and a 34-year-old man has been arrested.
The facade of the Church of San Faustino in Viterbo was vandalised with satanic graffiti during the night. Black spray paint was used across the stone walls and doors of the church, leaving symbols such as inverted crosses, the number “666,” and the phrase “Satan Church”, markings which represent a deliberate desecration of the Christian place of worship.
Local police identified one of the perpetrators by reviewing nearby surveillance footage, but investigations are still ongoing.
The bishop of Viterbo held a reparatory Mass at the church, a traditional act within the Catholic Church following the profanation of a sacred place.
