Repeated vandalism hits Valmaura Church
After repeated acts of serious vandalism at the Church of the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows in Valmaura, a holy water font was destroyed. The church has started a fundraising campaign to be able to replace the font.
The latest attack on the Valmaura church involved the destruction of a key religious element, the holy water font, following previous incidents of vandalism that had already affected the church. The incident has shocked the local community.
In response, a citizen from Trieste launched a social media fundraiser to replace the damaged holy water font, which is estimated at up to 3500 euros.
