On 12 June 2026, a vulgar inscription offensive to the Church was discovered painted in red on the façade of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Police opened an investigation to identify the perpetrator.

On 12 June 2026, parish representatives discovered a vulgar inscription painted in red on the exterior wall of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. According to the reporting source, the wording was offensive to the Church and, because of its vulgar nature, was not reproduced publicly.

Junior Inspector Tomasz Krupa, spokesperson for the Provincial Police Headquarters in Białystok, confirmed that police had received a report stating that an unknown individual had painted a vulgar inscription on the church walls.

Police launched an investigation to establish the circumstances of the incident and identify the perpetrator.
