In early June 2026, unknown individuals entered a church in Le Roc-Saint-André, Val d'Oust, deliberately burning part of the altar cloth and several candles. The parish reported the incident to the authorities, and an investigation was opened.

A volunteer preparing the church for Mass first noticed that items inside the church had been moved following an unexplained intrusion on a Sunday. After restoring the church, the volunteer returned the following day and discovered that part of the altar cloth had been deliberately burned, together with several candles. No signs of forced entry were found.

The parish filed a formal complaint. The incident was reported to the authorities, and an investigation was initiated.
