Fire in Chapel in Kolbermoor

On June 25th, unknown perpetrators set fire to a dry flower arrangement that decorated a monument to the fallen in a chapel of the Heilig Dreifaltigkeit church in Kolbermoor. The damage to the property, based on the Bad Aibling police inspection, was around 1500 euros.
Mesner Siegfried Obermayr, in charge of opening and closing the church, discovered at 6:30 pm that someone had caused the fire at the Lourdeskapelle.
The perpetrators not only used the matches for the votive offerings but also had to make efforts to take out a candle from the Lourdes grotto in the chapel, protected by a grid.
In response to the incident, the Lourdeskapelle will only open from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm.
