Trémorel Church Vandalized
During the night from March 1st to March 2nd, someone broke into and vandalized the church of Trémorel (Côtes-d'Armor). The tabernacle was destroyed and the consecrated hosts were found scattered on the ground.
"This is an act that seriously wounds the faithful because it touches the Eucharist, the most sacred reality of our faith," said Mgr Denis Moutel, bishop of Saint-Brieuc.
The parish priest of Merdrignac has lodged a complaint with the gendarmerie. Closed since the incident, the church would open again after a Reparation Mass in the presence of the bishop.
