Severe Arson Attack in St. Martin Church

On the 2nd August, Saint Martin Church in Plasencia was severely set on fire. The perpetrators have not yet been identified. The costs of the damage were around 9,000 euros for the drafting of the project and 400,000 for the restoration.
The case was in the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office and the aim was to identify the perpetrators so that they could repair the damage caused in accordance with what is stipulated by the Law as they are minors, but this will not be the case because, as confirmed by the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, "the case has been closed because the perpetrator is unknown".
Therefore, as the minors cannot be identified, it will be the Bishopric that will have to pay for the restoration of the damage, although the Department of Culture of the Regional Government of Extremadura has already announced that it will collaborate in this task and will bear the cost of drawing up the project. Likewise, the Bishopric has indicated that it will ask for the collaboration of other institutions.
