Statue of the Virgin Mary Decapitated in Germany
On the 22nd of October, a police officer discovered that the statue of the Virgin Mary, of the Jesuits Church in Straubing, was decapitated. The head of the statue laid on the floor between the doors of the church and had a mask on. Inside the church, he found the remaining of the statue, which was toppled over. The police is investigating.
"I have a great sadness in my heart. I feel great horror and feel the harassment. Whoever did this has nothing to do with God. And it doesn't matter whether someone has something against the church or against Corona - foreign property should not be damaged. In the church one behaves differently. - Pastor Vasile Reut, who wants to maintain the church open, but is afraid that such an act happens again.
