Vandalism at Catholic Seminary and Diocesan Library

Don Sabino Mennuni, the director of the catholic seminary in Andria reported about repeated acts vandalism and harassment at the facilities. According to his report, he was harassed and insulted while cleaning the entrance door of the seminary. The youth who insulted him also deposed garbage at the entrance and urinated on the door.
"While I and a librarian were cleaning up the aforementioned spaces, we had to receive unrepeatable insults and profanity from a group of kids, as well as being hindered in what we were doing. The best or the worst was yet to come, however: only a few minutes after the cleaning was completed, we found the doorway again soiled with all kinds of rubbish and even wet with urine," Don Sabino Mennuni told the media.
"Unfortunately, this is only the latest of countless acts of vandalism and incivility that we are witnessing," he further commented and asked: "Why should the Library staff fear for their safety? Why must the Seminary give up one of its entrances because it is too dangerous for seminarians to pass through?"
