Vandalism at Lourdes Grotto
Over the weekend, pedestals of a Lourdes Grotto were destroyed by vandals.
According to media, mayor Johan Tollenaere said: "This vandalism has been reported to us and we have reported it to the Maasland police. An investigation will follow. The Liege stones have been secured by our Works Department and we will see how to restore them. The stones are still from an older church in Maaseik."
