Four fires started in Chanteloup les Vignes Church

On February 11, around 3 pm. fire was set to the St Roch Church in Chanteloup les Vignes. A parishioner looking after the choir noticed the fire. Three fires had been started on sheets of paper inside the church. Additionally, a larger fire had been set in the toilets.
"A [burning sheet] had been placed in front of the organ, another in front of the sanctuary dedicated to Saint Vincent and a third at the level of the baptistery," the abbot Father Alain Biniakounou reported. A fourth was started in the toilets of the church. "The walls blackened, you could smell a strong smell of burnt plastic," abbot Biniakounou said.
The police are investigating.
