Islamic tags and vandalism in Parisian Notre-Dame-du-Travail Church
Between Sunday, July 14 and Monday, July 15, vandals broke into the Parisian Notre-Dame-du-Travail Church, vandalised the building and left a number of Islamic anti-Christian graffiti, like "Submit yourselves to Allah infidels" and a knife planted in the throat of a statue of Mary.
The perpetrators broke in through the emergency door and ransacked several parts of the church, writing messages in black felt-tip pens on various materials. The writings included messages like “Submit yourselves to Allah infidels, pray 5 times a day”, “Bastard Jesus one god Allah”, “This big babylon destroyed satan the church”, “The church here we are burning the first part”, “The last prophet Mohammed”, “the heads cut off from those who exceed”, “I will make war on the Christian world”, “We Muslims, we cannot accept this whore of religion” and “Go to hell satan burns”.
In addition to these inscriptions, the damage includes broken cupboard doors, a searched reception area, a small broken cash register, and burnt papers. Based on the reports, the most shocking aspect of this series of vandalism was the discovery of a knife stuck in the throat of a wooden statue of Mary.
The police have inspected the crime scene, and an investigation has started.
