Polish cemetery destroyed
As reorted on September 8, unknown perpetrators desecrated the memorial site of the victims of Stalinist repressions in the Vitebsk region. This is another case of desecration of Polish memorial sites in Belarus.
8 boards, 26 crosses and boards with information about the victims of repression were destroyed.Kuropaty is the largest mass grave of the victims of communism in Belarus, located on the outskirts of Minsk.
The Lukashenko regime is trying to prevent historical research and unknown perpetrators regularly destroy crosses there and persecute the defenders of the Kuropats.
A similar situation occurred in August 2022. Then the Belarusian authorities destroyed the Polish military cemetery in Surkonty. It is one of the many cemeteries of Home Army soldiers in the Grodno region destroyed by the regime of Alexander Lukashenko.
