Three nativity scene figures stolen from Freigné chapel
On 2 January, three figures from the nativity scene in the Rosaire chapel in Freigné, France, have been stolen. The volunteers from the Bienheureux Noël Pinot parish are shocked.
Robert Massé was one of the volunteers who discovered that three figures from the crib had disappeared when he locked the Rosaire chapel. The Quaestor Angel and two large shepherds had disappeared. Robert Massé found the box in which the angel's coins were kept on the slate wall of the chapel. Proof, he says, that money was not the motive for the theft.
The mayor of the commune, David Evin, was due to lodge a complaint on the evening of 3 January.
