Fires set in Küssaberg church

On 8 November, an unknown perpetrator has set several small fires in a church in Küssaberg (Waldshut district). Witnesses discovered the flames and alerted the emergency services.
A local resident was able to put out the fire before it spread. Police have confirmed the incident. The church was open at the time of the fire. The police have not yet been able to say what objects were set on fire or how much damage was caused. The means of the crime are also unknown.
On 3 November, a similar incident occurred at the Mannheim church. There, an arsonist set fire to brochures and information leaflets with a funeral candle, setting fire to a carpet and a wooden table. The fire was extinguished by the custodian.
