Man riots in church
In Cologne-Ehrenfeld, a man caused extensive damage to St Joseph's Church, destroying nativity figures and throwing burning candles around the church.
He gained access to the church's vestibule on 28 December by forcing open a metal gate. The man then allegedly went on a rampage, damaging a life-size statue of St Joseph and the nativity scene.
Security camera footage obtained by t-online also shows the man throwing burning candles from a table into the vestibule of the church. The man, who was wearing a hat and hooded jacket, also destroyed other items of furniture.
