Relics stolen from church
As reported on 1 January, unknown perpetrators stole religious relics and a nativity figure from a church in Brendlorenzen, Germany. The incident caused shock among parishioners and local clergy.
According to parish priest Thomas Keßler, the stolen items included sacred relics, which hold particular religious significance for the Christian community. He described the act as “senseless,” as the objects taken were of primarily religious rather than material value.
Members of the congregation also expressed distress over the loss of these religious objects.
