Church walls and a statue of the Virgin Mary vandalised in Moissac

On the night of 7 January, unknown persons vandalised the walls of the Catholic church of La Mégère and a public statue of the Virgin Mary. The vandals sprayed several offensive inscriptions on both sites. The police are now investigating.
On 7 December 2024, the Catholic community of Moissac was shocked by an act of vandalism in the church of La Mégère, when insulting tags were discovered on the walls of the church and on the statue of the Virgin. The mayor of Moissac has already reacted to the incident by ordering the immediate cleaning of the church to remove the traces of this act of desecration. He also announced that a complaint would be lodged with the police, who have already opened an investigation to identify the perpetrators.
