Cemetery in Migny vandalised with swastikas

The town hall of Migny filed a complaint after several swastika inscriptions were found on a monument in the local cemetery on 19 December. The police are now investigating this act of vandalism.
Following the discovery of several swastikas painted on the base of a cross in Migny cemetery, local authorities have expressed their dismay. Senator Frédérique Gerbaud (senator for the Indre region, where Migny is located) condemned the act and expressed her support for the local mayor, Alexandra Darinot.
Mrs Darinot expressed her disgust, which was shared by the other inhabitants of the commune: "It's really traumatic (...) I looked at these signs, and when you look around, you see our ancestors resting there, in a place that has many symbols, which only allows respect for each other (...). It's really destabilising".
The police responded quickly to the scene and are investigating the attack.
