Organ Damaged in Waltrop Church
On Tuesday, March 19, a fire extinguisher was emptied into the pipes of the organ in St Peter's Church.
According to media reports, the unknown perpetrator(s) must have taken the fire extinguisher, which is located near the choir and emptied it into the pipes across the entire width of the organ. Meanwhile, an organ builder has inspected the damage and explained that it was fortunate that a water extinguisher and not a powder extinguisher had been used. Otherwise, the organ would have been destroyed. Police investigations are ongoing.
