Theft and Desecration at Protestant Church in Bad Weißenstadt
An unknown perpetrator broke into the Protestant Church of St. Jakobus in Bad Weißenstadt, stole money from donation boxes, and defecated inside the church.
Human faeces were deliberately left inside the Protestant town church of St Jakobus in Bad Weißenstadt between 30 and 31 October 2025, in an act of desecration.
During the same incident, the unknown individual forced open several offertory boxes, removed multiple cash containers and stole the money contained within them. The break-in resulted in both material loss and significant offence to the religious character of the site.
Police have opened an investigation and are appealing for witnesses who may have noticed suspicious activity in the area during the relevant period.
