Second Vandalism Incident at Melsungen Church in Two Months
Unknown offenders damaged the entrance and several gravestones at the city church in Melsungen, prompting police investigation.
In the afternoon of 6 November 2025, unknown perpetrators vandalised the entrance door and several gravestones at the Stadtkirche Melsungen in Melsungen, Hesse, Germany, breaking the glass panel of the church’s front door, scratching a stained‑glass window and damaging two gravestones, according to a press release by the Polizeidirektion Schwalm‑Eder. The estimated material damage was around €7,500. Two months prior, the church had also been the victim of property damage, including damage to a baptismal candle and a donation box.
