Repeated Vandalism Targets Parish and Priest
Eggs hurled at the parish house and sabotage of the priest’s car marked a renewed wave of anti-Christian hostility in the Treviso community.
On the night of November 7, 2025, unknown individuals threw eggs at the parish house of San Tommaso Apostolo in Ponte di Piave, replicating a similar attack from several months earlier. Parish priest Don Antonio Ziliotto also discovered potatoes stuffed into his car’s exhaust pipe, preventing it from starting. Locals, who bitterly refer to the ongoing incidents as a “never-ending story,” suspect a single perpetrator behind the repeated acts of vandalism.
