Vallecas Attacker Who Stabbed Three Said His Mission Was to Kill Christians

Country: Spain

Date of incident: November 22, 2025

An 18-year-old in Vallecas stabbed three people and reportedly told his mother his mission was to kill Christians, leading authorities to investigate possible terrorism.

In Vallecas, Madrid, an 18-year-old identified as Mohammed stabbed three people on a street and later attacked police officers with a knife when they attempted to detain him. The incident occurred at a residence on Peña de la Atalaya 69, where officers reported the suspect was in a state of aggression and possibly under the influence of drugs.

During the assault, witnesses stated he shouted “Allah is great” and threatened officers, prompting police to use a taser and then firearms, leaving him injured and hospitalised under custody. The Audiencia Nacional opened a secret investigation into possible jihadist terrorism after police sources confirmed Mohammed had told his mother that “his mission was to kill Christians and purify himself.” Neighbors described him as “a good boy with drug problems,” denying prior links to jihadism. Investigators also examined whether he was responsible for an attempted stabbing of passersby near the residence earlier that day.

Update: The Audiencia Nacional has since ordered his imprisonment on charges of four attempted terrorist assassinations, concluding that the assaults were driven by jihadist ideology and therefore constituted terrorism rather than isolated acts of violence.
