Police investigated vandalism at a rural Herefordshire church after furniture was displaced and fire extinguishers were emptied.
Police were called to Preston Wynne Church in Herefordshire after reports of vandalism and antisocial behavior. The incident involved church furniture being moved from the main worship area into the toilets and fire extinguishers being discharged and left outside.
Police community support officer Rachael Mahoney confirmed the details, stating, “Furniture has been moved from the main church area into the toilets, and fire extinguishers have been emptied and left outside.” The church, located in an isolated area accessible only by a footpath across a field, was targeted without clear motive. Authorities said inquiries were ongoing and urged the public to report any information, with Mahoney adding, “Please stay alert and keep an eye out for anything unusual in your area.”
