On 11 September 2025, an act of vandalism occurred at the Église Saint-Jean in Châteaudun, Eure-et-Loir, when a group of young people unlawfully entered the building and discharged and stole fire extinguishers. This incident was confirmed by the town authorities as a further intrusion following previous episodes of damage earlier in the year, including candles being thrown to the floor and money taken from the collection box.
