Church Windows Smashed in Suspected Attempted Desecration in Palamós
Unknown individuals climbed onto the roof of a church in Palamós and broke stained-glass windows in what local witnesses deemed as an attempted intrusion.
The incident occurred in the early hours of 23 August at the Santa María del Mar. According to a report submitted to the Spanish Observatory on Freedom of Religion and Conscience, unknown individuals accessed the church via the roof and broke stained-glass windows.
According to the reporting individual, it is believed that the perpetrators may have intended to enter the building “to desecrate.”
