Anti-Religious Graffiti Appears on Church Wall in Göttingen
Anti-religious graffiti was sprayed on a church in Göttingen, targeting the building with an ideological message about religion.
As reported on 5 April 2025, the incident involved graffiti on the St. Albani Church, where a quote attributed to Karl Marx describing religion as “the opium of the people” was painted on the church wall.
The graffiti constitutes an explicitly anti-religious message placed on a church building.
