Chemical Attack Targets Christian Congress
A butyric acid attack took place at the Christian “Leben.Würde” congress at the Schönblick conference centre in Schwäbisch Gmünd, resulting in disruption and damage to the venue.
On 10 May 2025 the Christian-centred “Leben.Würde” pro-life congress at the Gästezentrum Schönblick in Schwäbisch Gmünd was targeted in an attack involving butyric acid. The incident took place during the scheduled gathering of participants concerned with life-ethics issues at the venue. A suspected assailant reportedly deployed the corrosive substance in an attempt to disrupt the meeting.
The deployment of butyric acid resulted in disruption and damage at the venue and represented a targeted attack on the congress. Thankfully, no participants were harmed and the event could resume later.
