Salerno Church doors smeared with excrements
On the morning of June 28, 2025, vandals defaced the Church of Sant’Anna al Porto in Salerno by smearing feces on both the main entrance and sacristy doors. This marked the second consecutive day of such an attack, discovered by Monsignor Claudio Raimondi and several parishioners.
The incident occurred near the Teatro Verdi and involved the doors’ handles and locks being soiled with excrement, causing shock among clergy and community members, who immediately began cleaning the sacred site.
Such a coordinated, two-day offense has deeply disturbed the congregation, prompting calls for solidarity and protective measures to prevent future anti-religious vandalism.
