Altar of church in Lido vandalised
Unknown individuals entered the church of Tarquinia Lido, Maria Santissima Stella del mare, and overturned and damaged all the objects on the altar. According to reports, the vandals entered through a window at the back of the church and then targeted the side chapel where the consecrated hosts are kept.
The parish priest discovered the violent intrusion in the morning. Two patrols from the Tarquinia station of the Carabinieri intervened on site. The damage is estimated to amount to several hundred euros. Footage recorded by video surveillance cameras in the parish and on other streets in Lido is being examined.
